Sea Sisters KimchiNorfolk Whelks (110g) - British Whelks with Korean Flavour

£10.00

Sea Sisters believe it’s time for Britain to rediscover the humble whelk.
Inspired by the way Koreans enjoy this seaside delicacy, they’ve preserved fresh British whelks in a bold, spicy kimchi sauce — made with Korean chilli flakes (gochugaru), garlic, ginger, daikon, and Cornish dried seaweed.

Each tin is handmade in small batches in Bridport, West Dorset, by a team devoted to sustainable seafood and traditional craft canning.

Enjoy these Kimchi Whelks simply with steamed rice, noodles, or even alongside your own kimchi dishes for a taste of Korea by the British coast.

🌍 Sustainability

With 95% of British whelks currently exported to Holland and Korea, Sea Sisters are working to bring this underappreciated local shellfish back to British tables.
They source from low-impact fisheries, supporting small-scale fishers, women in fishing, and sustainable UK aquaculture.
